A recent conference panel discussion in which former and current SEC officials sparred over enforcement of laws to “protect the public’s interest,” the original legislative intent authorizing the SEC, shows just how much “bullying” of current SEC staff occurs, a report points out. This reported intimidation is less often public and if such intimidation were to take place between a police officer and someone being ticketed for a violation, the punishment for bullying enformcement officers would be expected to increase, the NakedCapatalism.com blog points out.
