Job seekers know they’ve got to find a way to make themselves stand out – and one individual is taking a rather unorthodox approach to getting a foot in the door.
A Craigslist ad (listed under new york manhattan resumes resumes / job wanted) posted this week combines missed connections and bounty hunting in an attempt to get a job with Phil Falcone, the businessman behind hedge fund Harbinger Capital, wireless venture LightSquared, and, more recently, holding company HC2 Holdings.
The ad reads:
I am looking to land an Executive/Personal Assistant Job with Phil Falcone,” the ad reads. “Willing to pay up to $10,000 after getting a job as a thank you/referral fee.
