Top hedge fund earners include familiar names, but top performer in 2014 earns four times less than what the top performer in 2013 earned
The top earning hedge fund manager in 2014, Point72's Steve Cohen, fought off both Department of Justice and Security and Exchange investigations and re-organized his SAC Capital fund into the Point72 family office at the behest of regulators during the year. With all these distractions he nonetheless earned more than any hedge fund manager, garnering $1.3 billion last year, according to a Forbes report from Nathan Vardi.
