“Digital dark age” is ushered in by the very technology that is driving historic societal change

The information that is currently stored in digital format could effectively vanish and usher in a “digital dark age,” predicted a top Google executive who is credited with being the “father of the internet.”

In a BBC interview, Google Vice President Vint Cerf predicted that the images and documents we take for granted will become unreadable as the hardware and software become obsolete.
