After paying millions to women who claim to be victims of Dov Charney’s sexual exploits involving employees, American Apparel won a round in its battle with the former CEO and founder of the sexually charged retailer.  But a source close to Charney says the defamation lawsuit is inconsequential as the legal issues that matter involve proxy fraud charges, diminishment of the company's profitability and failure to sell the company to a willing buyer was available.
