Amazon has developed an apparently fundamental set of guiding principles driving an algorithm to determine which product reviews are most appropriate. As some algorithmic hedge fund managers might attest, a simple algorithm based on unique and clear insight is often the most durable foundation over the long term, which speaks to Amazon's logic.
